I love this gadget. I, too, got it stuck at first when I did not let it stop on its own. It revolves around the entire can and then goes just a bit farther around before it stops. Then you just lift it off and throw away the lid. Due to some hand weakness, I cannot use the manual ones. This one is great in my opinion for anyone with strength problems in their hands but make sure you let it stop on its own.

I bought one of these for my mother last Christmas, and she absolutely loves it! It is still running strong to this very day. I get the feeling that most people who gave this can opener a bad review did not read the instructions and therefore don’t understand that you absolutely must allow the can opener to stop on its own. It is also wise to change the batteries at the first sign of weakening, otherwise it will lock onto a can and be extremely difficult to remove. Overall, an excellent little device.

Great little gadget that works like a charm. When you open your first few cans you tend to think you have to do something more than just put it on top of the can and push the buttom…but…that’s all it takes. Almost too easy to be true. After several weeks of use we still look at it as it is working like it’s splitting the atom. Neat little tool. Fast delivery from great vendor.

This is the greatest little invention going, especially if you have any hand, joint or tendon issues, as I do. I no longer have to ask for help to open a can, small or large anymore. It’s hands-free and can fit in a drawer. Just needs batteries and you’re good to go!

I’ve had this item for almost two years. It worked great until recently when it suddenly stopped working without warning. I’ve tried new batteries and made sure the battery contacts were in good position but to no avail. I guess it just wore out. Ordinarily it would be my nature to take it apart and attempt to fix it. Since I have the use of only one hand it’s now in the trash can. Nothing lasts forever. It worked so well that I’m ordering a new one. When it’s working it really is great for someone who does not have the full use of two hands. An additional plus is that the can is opened by separating the lid from the can just below the rim without leaving any sharp edges.
