Product Description
The Brazil French Press coffee maker, designed in the early 80′s, was our first coffee maker and quickly became a symbol of what Bodum stands for. Attractive and functional design at an affordable price. The Brazil has an ultra-light, heat-resistant borosilicate glass beaker and a polypropylene handle and base, which make the Brazil easy to use and easy to clean. The 3-part stainless steel plunger has a fine mesh filter, which allows for a premium extraction of your coffee’s aromatic oils and subtle flavors. A mesh filter allows this flavor to be delivered direct to your cup and not absorbed by a paper filter. Plus, no paper filter means no waste. The patented safety lid prevents the splashing of liquids while pressing. All parts are dishwasher safe. This 8-cup coffeemaker is (1.0 l, 34oz.) in size and is also available in 3-cup (0.35 l, 12 oz) size model.

A recent article in GQ suggested making coffee using a cold brew technique using a French Press. I bought the Brazil based on price and I’ve been very happy. It’s well made, and so long as I don’t drop it I think it’ll be a very happy addition to my kitchen for years and years to come. It is what it is, and it’s well made… so if you’re in the market give it a shot.

Love making my own coffee. This is a great way to make your own coffee and better than the national brands.

Screens let way too much “stuff” float past. I am very disappointed and would not recommend the press. I bought two, and both screens are quite ineffective.

I’ve owed this for a while now. I use it nearly every day.

Overall it’s easy to clean. Of course there are grounds to deal with but that is to be expected of a french press. The screen does a great job at get the majority of the grounds into the lower section.

I think the coffee tastes so much better than when I used the old paper filters.

Just take note, while it says 8 cups, the reality is it’s much more like 3 venti size of the popular coffee shop.

    Enjoy!

The only problem with it is getting the press under the handle to press the coffee. Otherwise, this is a great product and works nicely for coffee for 2.
