Works nicely on soft skinned veggies. However, don’t try peeling rutabagas or butternut squash. Blade continuously pops out of holder. Tossed mine.

I have to admit that I didn’t buy this peeler thinking it was going to be that great. For the price I expected an average peeler, but something that would get the job done. Instead what I received really impressed me.
First off, the size and shape are perfect for my hand. It fits nicely and I don’t have to worry about losing my grip on it. Second and most importantly, they blade. It is very sharp and has just the right angle to it. Some peelers tend to waste quite a bit of what you are peeling, but not this. I’ve peeled potatoes, apples, carrots, cucumbers and the ends of asparagus; all with ease and very minimal waste! Another nice feature is the length of the blade, it covers a good size area which speeds up the job.
All in all I can’t think of any cons to the Kuhn Rikon Original 4-Inch Swiss Peeler. In fact I plan on picking up several more to add to gifts I’ll be giving this holiday season. And if you use the 4-for-3 promotion, it makes them an even better bargain.

this is the best peeler i have ever had. i love it. very sharp, lightweight and easy to handle. will have to see how well it lasts but for the price you can’t beat it.

I bought this because of the good reviews and I thought it might be like the old swiss peeler I bought at some fair that finally broke but this one wasn’t so great. I don’t know if I got a bad one or what but the blade feels like its a little dull and it doesn’t peel smoothly. I went an got an oxo one from target it cost more but peels much nicer
