I will keep this short:
PROS:
1. Nonstick feature does work well.. food slips right off.
2. Nice holster.
CONS:
1. Not weighted well; blade feels like it is barely secured into the handle.
2. I have not yet sharpened this but am concerned that the nonstick portion will flake off.. I don’t like this. The nonstick portion runs all the way to the tip of the knife edge.
IN SUMMARY:
If I had to do over, I would not have purchased this knife.

At the time I made this purchase, only the black Kuhn paring knives had free shipping. I like the blue color better, but I only need one paring knife. Later I also got the red Kuhn utility knife. Getting colored ones aids in seeing them immediately in the utensil drawer. I keep my Kuhn knives in their sheaths in the drawer since they are so sharp. I’ve never had such sharp kitchen knives.
One needs a good paring knife since they’re so useful for trimming, peeling and slicing vegetables among other things. The paring knife is very versatile. And noting the price, one can have an excellent knife at a very modest cost. Compared to other kitchen knives I’ve used, this is easy and clean to use because it’s non-stick. That quality helps you use it efficiently, but you have to be extra careful of the sharpness.
The handle is small, plastic and lightweight, so the knife doesn’t have a balanced feel that hunting knives have. I don’t expect more for the price.
The utility knife is really just a larger paring knife, meant for slicing and has a larger and thus easier to grip handle. I got the red one. Take a look: Kuhn Rikon Colori Nonstick Utility Knife, Red.

This is one of the best knives you can get for this cost. I have given these as gifts for several years and get rave reviews from all who get them. I have about 4 of them and they work great. The plastic covers prevent accidental injuries when digging in a drawer.

The Kuhn Rikon Nonstick Paring Knife is a very good value for a quality knife. We own several of these knives in different colors for use at home and in our shop. The different colors allow us keep the ones we use to cut materials in our workshop from accidently being used for food products.
The blade is *VERY* sharp and holds it’s edge very nicely. The nonstick coating on the blade is a real plus as it helps to keep the knife clean as well as to keep it moving through thicker items. The snug fitting platic sheath is a welcome addition to safely store or transport the knife.
My only complaint is the light feel of the plastic handle. It isn’t flimsy exactly, just lacks heft. This might just be a personal prefference issue and it hasn’t stopped me from buying more of them.
Overall this is a very good paring knife at a reasonable price. Recommended!

This paring knife is the prettiest thing I have ever seen. Available in 6 attractive colors. The knife’s non-stick surface coating is a clever idea. Why they have not think of it before? It helps to make the blade to glide with less effort. Perfect size for peeling fruits.
It comes with its own sheath that is very useful when you bring the knife with you. Kuhn Rikon is a Switzerland brand, the knife is made in China. Still, this is my favorite knife that I bring with me at work.
